Brian Molko

Hello,

I just found this pencil drawing I did absolutely ages ago of Brian Molko, lead vocalist in Placebo. I was intrigued by his androgenous look. It was drawn on a really cheap Poundland sketchpad he he. Its funny when you look at a drawing or painting after a long time and you start to see all those mistakes and blemishes!

I used Mary Scanlon's band photography as reference, found in a re-release album.

Dream Brother

Hello,
really enjoyed the show yesterday - everyone worked so hard! I'll put some pictures up later but now I've done an illustration inspired by Battle for the Sun, a song by Placebo.

I think the song was a response to a member of the band leaving, Stephan's and Brian's 'dream brother', but most importanly it's a song about moving on and choosing to fight for our goals and dreams. Quite appropriate with the show n' all.

I've used stock photos from: freestockimages.org for this work.

"So we both can speak in tongues"

Hello,

I've been busy preparing for our show, but there'll be a tube strike!! *animalistic screech*

Anyhow on the flip side, I've got Placebo's new album. It's much more optimistic, especially after Meds, a very meloncholic, masochistic and disturbing series of songs.

They've been great to listen to and I've come up with some work in homage to their latest album. This is one of them.
