Tama

I was chillin’ out with Tama here while everyone else got smelly at football. It was soooo sunny that day.

Colour Me Wednesday at Buffalo Bar, London, 13/4/13

Poor Colour Me Wednesday, most of them were recovering from sniffles and coughs they’d caught on The Tuts tour. The theme seems to have been blood red! Couldn’t take any good snaps, these are all I have :(

Jen's in her red short shorts.

Jen face burning away

Cool cat Carmela being cool.

Printing T-shirts and Patches!

Here are some snaps from a batch of printing t-shirts and patches a while back for The Tuts and Colour Me Wednesday. These were sold on the Kate Nash tour. Everyone worked so hard.

Colour Me Wednesday & The Tuts T-shirts/patches

Here are some process shots of some patches, tote bags and t-shirts we're making for The Tuts and Colour Me Wednesday. They'll be sold When The Tuts are touring the UK with Kate Nash in a few weeks.

Kate Nash Signed My Sketchbook!

Kate Nash signed my sketchbook! This was when The Tuts were supporting her at The Shacklewell Arms. Picking an animal from it, she said she quite like bongos, haha. I gave her that ink doodle I did of her in return.

Kate Nash & The Tuts, 1/11/12 at The Shacklewell Arms

Went to see Kate Nash and the Tuts at The Shacklewell Arms. Kate Nash was incredible! The Tuts looked amazing in their mermaid themed outfits, but I could barely see Bev Tut in that weird little lonely alcove. So the venue was a bit annoying, but all in all, a great gig.

Shadow Snatcher (Wired Up Series)

Hello,

Just received a few copies of Shadow Snatcher from the publisher. This particular one in the series is targeted at a slightly younger audience compared to Petrify, which was a bit more gorey. Shadow Snatcher is written by Lou Kuenzler.
I’ll be working on some colour illustrations hopefully in a few months on a girls classic tales series for QED Publishing, (fingers crossed!).

Mmm, here's yesterday's breakfast, and here's a new song by Dum Dum Girls from their new EP (End of Daze):
Lord Knows.

Colour Me Wednesday Merch!

…and a Tuts patch throne in for good measure. Just wanted to take a few progress snaps, (these aren't very good photos).

My designs have a purpose in life now! CMW have been beavering away relentlessly to get the designs onto t-shirts, and patches. There’s also lovely tote bags that have been hand printed with love too, (very good quality I might add). Need to take pictures of them. If you live around West London go see these crafty, DIY bands live on Sunday at Uxbridge.

Petrify (Wired Up series)

Hello!

Just recieved a copy of Petrify (Wired Up series) from the publisher. I might be getting another commission from them for another in the series but for a slightly younger audience and with more illustrations! Petrify is written by Beth Chambers.

This series by A & C Black is designed for teens and younger children who struggle with literacy, encouraging them to read. I've also seen a few books at my library designed for dyslexic young readers. The paper was quite yellowy (easy on the eye?) and the page layout consisted of wide line-spacing or leading. We should have more of these at the library. Need to look into this.

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs

Wahey!

Received my copy of Snow White from the publisher. So that’s the two Classic Tales commissions done. They’re really hard to find on the net. Well they’re not even up on the publisher site yet, and they’re actually for schools. Bleh.

Booooks

I'm trying to do more reading and less interwebs. It's not working. Oh and Habibi was awesome, have I mentioned already? It's a signed copy! Bought it from Forbidden Planet, London.

Goldilocks

Yay!
Received my own copy of Goldilocks from OUP. Can't wait for Snow White now! I don't think it's on sale yet...it's not up on the publisher site. It's a schooly, learning aid sorta book so you would buy it directly from the publishers.
